ABSTRACT

Serous tumors are the most common type of epithelial ovarian tumors. A 34-year-old virgin deaf woman was admitted to the clinic with increased abdominal swelling for three months, and a magnetic resonance (MR) scan showed a giant cystic mass that encompassed the whole abdomen and a myoma nodule. At laparotomy, uterine subserous leiomyomata on the fundus and a giant, totally cystic and mobile mass on the right ovary were found. Myomectomy and right salpingooophorectomy were performed, and there were no complications. Her pathology report disclosed a 30x28x18 cm serous cyst adenofibroma weighing 8 kg and uterine leiomyomata. She was discharged without any problems. No mass of this weight has been reported in our hospital previously.
