ABSTRACT

Primary ovarian pregnancy is a rare form of ectopic pregnancy. Its ineidence ranges from 1 in 7000 to 1 in 60000 deliveries. The etiology of primary ovarian pregnancy is largely unknown, but it is assumed that an intrafolikıilar gestation is due to fertilization of the ovum whilst it is still retained within follicle and this phenomen is postulated to be o consequence of ovulatory disfunction. And this ectopic pregnancy usually terminate during the first trimester. In this report two cases of ovarian pregnancy (one of them was virgo), encountered over an one and half-years period in our hospital, were presented and the literatüre were reviewed.
