ABSTRACT

We decided to invest to complications of 5 days total parenteral nutrition after postoperative elective gastrointestinal system operations with a patient controlled study include thirty patients two groups. We didn't see any operative complications on nutritional supported group but we saw cardiac arhythm with angina pectoris for ı (3%) patient and saw santral venous catheter infections for 2 (6%) patients; total parenteral nutrition were stoped in these patients. 3 (9%) patients complained distress, uneasiness, nausea and headache in first day of total parenteral nutrition. Physical examination, ECG and blood examinations did not pathologic; therapy continued. In second day there weren't any complian. For 4 (12%) patients venous catheter couldn't inserted percutanously, venosectio performed. We saw ı 3%) enterocutaneus fistula in the controlled group; was treated total parenteral nutrition.
