ABSTRACT
Straight leg raising(SLR) test is known manouevre of stretching the sciatic nevre.
Finger-ground distance(FGD) test is using sudike mechanism. The aim of this study investigate relation between SLR test and FGD test at the patient with lumbar disc hemiation. Forthy patients were included (45% male, 55% female, mean age 44.9 years). The patients diagnosed to McCallough criterions. All patients were evaluated with magnetic resonance imagination. SLR test accepted positive between 30-70 degrees and FGD test accepted positıve too 30 centimetre.
%35 of patients have multipl disc hemiations. The patients of SLR test positive average angle 62.8 degrees. The patients of FGD positive average distance is 48 centimetre.
%80 of patient have positive SLR test and %50 of patients have po sitive FGD test. (p>0.05) The both of tes ts positive at %40 patients and the both of test e negative %10 patients. Consequently, SLR test and FGD test present simi/ar results at the patients of lumbar disc hemiation.
