We evaluated the effect of patient age to PSA. PSAD and Prostatic volume in group of patient w ithout prostate cancer prostatite and positive PİN that is tought to effect the PSA levels as histopatologically. Between 1995 and 1997 years, 248 patients who has protatism symptoms, PSA>4 ng/ml and positive DRE (digital rectal examination) without prostate cancer, prostatite and PİN (+)as hitopatologically were included this study. All patients are classified as their age decade. Prostate volüme ofpatients were measured by using TRUSG mean PSA, PSAD and prostate volume and age ofpatients was found 12.6, 0.35, 42.4, 65.2 as sequency. There were statistically difference between the age groups as PSA, PSAD and prostate volume. It was determined thas PSA was related with prostate volume not with age. Evaluation of patients who have BPH and sympthoms related with this disease should be performed by using PSAD. Because PSA is dependent to volume not age in these patient group.
