ABSTRACT

Unstable angina pectoris is a elinical state which has been occured in settled coronary atherosclerosis. But there areinadequate informations about the mechanisms which are responsible for transformatian of unstable angina devolepment about the mechanisms which are responsible from stable angina pectoris. W e have investigated CRP levels in stable angina, unstable angina and normal subjects. CRP is an acute phase reactant synthesized in hepatocytes by stimulating of interleukin I and cytokines. 12 of the 17 patients with unstable angina and 5 of the 23 patients with stable angina have higher CRP levels than 0.5 mg 1 dl which is normal mean value of this acute phase reactant. The CRP levels of 16 healty control subjects were normal. These findings are concordant with the results of the other investigations searching the role of intzammation in the basis of unstable angina pectoris.
