ABSTRACT

Low grade fibromyxoid sarcoma (LGFMS) is a rare tumor that has a tendency to develop in deep soft tissues of the lower extremities. Very few cases of intra-abdominal location have been reported. The diagnosis of LGFMS remains problematic because of its bland-looking histologic features, which can be potentially confused with other benign or low-grade soft tissue tumors. We report here a case of low-grade fibromyxoid sarcoma of the anterior abdominal wall. This is one of the large intra-abdominal fibromyxoid sarcomas to be reported.
