ABSTRACT

Echocardiography is usedfor considering ischemıc stroke.ln the echocardiography concentric hypertrophy, eccentric hypertrophy and concentric remodeling can be found.There are 47 patients who have ischemic stroke in our study between november 2004 and may 2005.18 of the patients are men, 29 of the patients are women. Average age for women is 62.20jor men is 59.44.According to the study results, left ventricular hypertrophy is found in 33 patients,diastolıc disfunction is fo- und in 10 patients,systolic disfunction is found in 12 patients. Lacunar infarcts are found in most of the patients. Results are compared with literature.
