ABSTRACT

Langerhans cell histiocytosis is a disease with unknown etiology and has three different clinical forms which has different clinical features. It is seen mostly in adolosence and it’s charecterised by proliferation of langerhans cells and it affects mostly skin, lung central nervous system and skeletal system. Our case is a 60 year old woman who has itchy, papular lesions. These lesions are first seen on scalp ad behind the ear; than seen on labium and thigh. Punch biopsies are taken from labium majus and inguinal area and microscopically it is diagnosed as langerhans cell histiocytosis and it is supported by immunohistochemistry. As langerhans cell histiocytosis is very rare in adult patients, we think the case is presentable.
