ABSTRACT

Inflammatory fibroid polyps (IFP) are rare pseudotumors in gastrointestinal system. Exact pathogenesis is unknown. Most common side of localization is antral portion of stomach and second side is small intestine. Clinical presentation is differ depending the side of involvement. When small intestine is involved, patients commonly come with the symptoms of obstruction and invagination. Here, we talk about a 15 year old girl with inflammatory fibroid polyp who had sings and symptoms of acute appendisitis and intestinal obstruction and depending to that she was operated.
