ABSTRACT
Object:
The effect of the increase in parity, to the labor and its results,is evaluated.
Material and Method:
441 pregnant women are divided into three groups; nulliparous(0), the multiparous (1-4), grand-multiparous (>4). The findings; at the first obstetric examination, during the labor, of new-born are detected. Turkey-HSD and chi-square tests are used. p<0.005 accepted valuable.
Findings:
Parity increased with age(22,66/30,6/33,08 p<0.05). Pregnancy age and EFBW were higher in the first group (p<0.05). There was anemia in the second and the third group (mean hematocrite level was 30.84 , hemoglobin level was 9.92 / Hct: 30.29, HGB:9.67) (p<0.05) In the first apply;the cervical dilatation was less in the nulliparous women according to others (mean 2,76 cm/4,53 cm/4,95 cm) and the intact membrane was a frequent finding in the second group (p<0,05). There was statistical difference according to first minute apgar scores between the first and the second groups. The duration of the labor was longer in the nulliparous women, but there was no difference between the indications of cesarian section between groups. Dystocia and arrest of labor were the most reasons in the first and the third group (%20,2 / % 1,5 /% 11,7).
Result:
We did not observed any difference between the parameters of the fetus and the mother morbidity except first minute apgar scores were better in the first group according to second group. The ratios of cesarian sections were smilar. The cesarian sections were more by the indication of dystocia and arrested labor in the first and the third group according to second group.
