ABSTRACT

Arachnoıd cysts are congenital, benign, intra-arachnoidal lesions. The majority of arachnoid cysts occur in the middle cranial fossa. Temporallobe hypogenesis is comman with middle cranial fossa cysts. Arachnoid cysts occur present at any age and they are more comman in males (4:1 male: female ratio). MRI is the diagnostic procedure of choice. On MR, these lesionsfollow CSF signal ıntensity on all pulse sequences, have no internal architecture, and are nonenhancing. Hemorrhage and/or abnormal protein may alter the CT and MRI appearance of these lesions.

The asymptomatic patient has two arachnoid cysts which are bilaterally and huge in size. They did not change in size for two years followup. Therefore we think this case is presentable, and for review our knowledge about arachnoid cysts.
