ABSTRACT
Hydatid cyst rarely involve the musculoskeletal system and can cause a variety of diagnostic problems, especially in the absence of typical radiologic findings. This is the report of a case of primary intramuscular hydatid cyst ina 46-year-old woman, who presented with aI-year history af a painless lump in the proksimal left tigh. In regions where hydatidosis is endemic, hydatid cysts should be included in the differential diagnosis of any unusual soft-tissue masses.
