In patients diabetes mellitus type II and essential hypertansion exeretlan of urinary albumin increases as the period of disease increases. Antihypertansive agents slow down this period. In our study we used a product Losartan potassium which blocks the anjiotensin receptors. 51 patients were admitted to our study. 30 of them werefemale 21 were male. We randomised the patients into three groups according to exeretian of urinary albumin as microalbuminuria, normoalbuminuria and macro albuminuria patients with macro and norm albuminuria, secondary hypertension, malign hypertension and those who didn't have the appropriate conditions for the study were eliminonted. Patients collected their urine 24 hours before they come to hospital. We analyzed their total cholesteral trglyceridtes, urea, creatinine, sodium, potassium, glucose, serum aldosterone, albuminuria, hemogram for three times, once in a month. We also recorded the period of diabet and hypertension; age and sex of the patients. In patients with diabetes mellitus type II andessential hypertansion we found that losartan patassium decreased hypertension and exeretian of urinary albumin and had no spesific side effect.
