Pons hematamas with an avarage diamater smaller than 1 O mm, thalamic he ma tomas s maller than 20 mm and spontaneous intracerebral hematamas of ther localisations smaller than 30 mm are considered to be among small hematomas. Cases with small, spontaneous intracerebral hematamas who applied to Neurology Clinic of SSK İstanbul Hospital between 1991 and 1993 were investigated retrospectively. lt was detected that there were not severe cranial and extracnial complications developed in elinical courses of these diseases. In this respect, clinically, it was emphasized that the formatian of a slight oedema and small size of hematamas were effective on a good prognosis.
