Preoperatif Care: Cardial Diseases and Diabetes Mellitus

In this study we aimed to investigate the arterial blood gase changes in noncomplicated acute myocardial infaretion (AM[) patients, and the relationship between these changes and the electrocardiographic localizations of the myocardial infarction. It was performed between July 1995 and January 1996 in SSK Istanbul Hospital Coronary Care Unit. The study included 62 AMI cases (51 men, ll women) and 25 healthy subjects (15 men, 10 women) as the control group. Mean age was 56.9 ± 8.8 for the study group and 48.2 ± 7.2 for the control group. The AMI cases included in the study were divided into 4 groups as Anterior AMI, Inferior AMI, Inferior + Right ventricle AMI, Non Q wave AMI according to electrocardiographic findings.
