Hemangioblastoma

Hemangioblastomas are central nervous system neoplasms which may be presented as sporadic forms or a manifestation of the Von HippelLindau syndrome. They are listed as "Grade 1 tumours of uncertain histogenesis" in the current World Health Organization (WH0)-2000 classification. Haemangioblastomas are most frequently sited in the posterior fossa. Extracerebellar locations and multifocal tumours are always a manifestation of VHL. The patient is a 40 years old woman who has a month-long headache. When nausea and ernesis are added to her headache problems she came to our hospital. Magnetic Resonance lmaging (MRI) showed that there ısa lesion in right cerebel/ar hemisphere, both with solid and cystic components. Surgical resection was performed. The histopathological examination revealed Hemangioblastoma.
