Evaluation of the Endometrial Biopsy Results Of Women with Postmonepausal Bleeding

The histopathological results of endometrial tissue samples which have been taken from 117 patients at menopause (one year has been past after the last menstruation) and applied to SSK Istanbul Training Hospital, Department of II. Obstetrics and Gynaecology, with the complaint of vaginal bleeding, between January/1996-July/2000 were compared. Of 117 patient; 13 had atrophic endometrium, 13 had endometrial hyperplasia and 15 had endometrial adenocarcinom. Usually %90 of the patients with endometrial carcinoma applies us with the complaint of vaginal bleeding. The patients those apply with postmenopausal bleeding have %10 probability of being endometrial carcinoma. For this reason it is important to take endometrial biopsy from women with postmenopausal bleeding.
