In this study we aimed to investigate the arterial blood gase changes in noncomplicated acute myocardial infaretion (AM[) patients, and the relationship between these changes and the electrocardiographic localizations of the myocardial infarction. It was performed between July 1995 and January 1996 in SSK Istanbul Hospital Coronary Care U nit. The study included 62 AMI cases (51 men, ll women) and 25 healthy subjects (15 men, 10 women) as the control group. Mean age was 56.9 ± 8.8 for the study group and 48.2 ± 7.2 for the control group. The AMI cases included in the study were divided into 4 groups as Anterior AMI, Inferior AMI, Inferior + Right ventricle AMI, Non Q wave AMI according to electrocardiographic findings.
