A Case O(Weil Desease Presented With Acute Renal Failure, Jaundice, Thrombocytopenia

Leptospirosis a worldwide zoonotic deseas. Rodents, especially the mice are the most importent reservoirs. Itspreads to human by contact of urine, blood and tissue of rnfected animals.Inkubation period is 1 or 2 weeks. Approximately 1 / 3 of cases go along subclinical. 90% of symptomatical cases are without jaundice. This desease is also seen frequently in our country. We present a case of 59 year old Weil Desease who presented to our emergency department with fever, Jaundice, acut renal failure, thrombocytopenia and was started peniciline therapy on be half of clinical doubt and the diag nose was soon proved by serological tests and blood culture.
